A late 19th century Chinese lacquer opium or coffee table, the inset top decorated with carved hardstone figures with a horse in a landscape with trees and a pagoda on a black ground, the border with mother of pearl inlay flowers and with gilded and lacquered decoration, over a shaped skirt with stylised floral and trailing vine decoration, on square sectional cabriole legs, arranged such that they can be folded into the underside of the top. The lacquer with some small losses and minor abrasions to the hardstone. Chinese, circa 1890.
