An elegant early 20th century silver milk jug made in London in 1922 by Charles and Richard Comyns (sons of the celebrated William Comyns). Of circular form it sits on a stepped spreading foot and has a cast handle decorated with acanthus, and a band of bright cut and engraved decoration around the rim. There is a vacant shield shaped cartouche on either side, with below these conjoined olive branches.
