A fine and rare Regency bookstand in satinwood, the stand with a shaped edge and conforming ebony strung border opening on an integral carved hinge to form a strutted stand, and with two swing support brackets behind inlaid roundels at the top, and with an inlaid rectangular ropetwist inlay panel around an oval fanned patera with specimen wood, including amboyna, burr yew, and rosewood. English, circa 1810.

Condition: Overall very good, the piece is in very good condition with no damage, there is what appears to be an old repair to the strut, otherwise it is in excellent condition with no loss to the inlays or breaks to the hinge, and overall the piece has a wonderful appearance and beautiful colour.
