A Louis XV porcelain casket in blue and white, of shaped bombé form with hinged cover with silvered brass seal, and with panels to the cover, front, sides and back depicting figures, cottages, monuments and landscapes, with borders of flowers and foliate motifs on a contrasting dark blue ground, marked to the underside AK in a monogram. Probably French, circa 1760.
Condition: Overall very good, the box is solid and the metal closure fits tightly, the body appears in good condition with no chips, there are what appear to be a couple of small firing fissures visible inside the box, otherwise it is in good condition.
