A pair of George III oval portraits in pastel, each in an oval giltwood frame with a gadroon edge, and with a portrait of a young woman in pastels on paper under glass, each quarter length and wearing a white dress and with beribboned hair, one indistinctly inscribed on an applied paper verso. English, circa 1790.
Condition: Overall very good, the portraits are in very good condition with no apparent pastel loss or visible tears, the colours are good and the frames are in good condition. One of the portraits bears a slip of paper verso with a name and a later date, which presumably refers to the date of the paper and not to the portraits.
